The Shaykh’s explanation of the nature of righteous deeds and their conditions.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... And so, we should remember that this deed is one that many people overlook aspects of, and many, many people overlook... This reality deserves a special lesson, but as I said earlier, brevity is necessary so that we can proceed to the hadiths that follow.
The deed that benefits its owner in his grave and in his Hereafter is the righteous deed, not any deed whatsoever. So what are the conditions of the righteous deed so that the Muslim cares about it and makes it his companion in his grave, entering with him? That came in the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم يوحى إلي أنما إلهكم إله واحد فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربه فليعمل عملا صالحا و لا يشرك بعبادة ربه أحدا
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
The scholars of exegesis said that the end of this verse indicates that two things are required in the righteous deed.
