Continuation of the discussion on the conditions of righteous deeds.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... A righteous deed requires two conditions:
The first condition is that it be in accordance with the Sunnah of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). We have mentioned earlier what is sufficient regarding this. The other condition, to which our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) has alluded, is that the righteous deed be pure for the sake of Allah. This is in His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He)
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربه فليعمل عملا صالحا ولا يشرك بعبادة بربه أحدا
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
. The exegetes said regarding His saying (Mighty and Majestic)
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
that a righteous deed is what conforms to the Sunnah, and
and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." ولا يشرك بعبادة بربه أحدا
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
means that one should make it pure for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) alone in this worship that conformed to the Sunnah. If either of these two conditions is lacking, the deed is not righteous. The first condition is that the deed conforms to the Sunnah; if it does not, it is rejected by its doer, even if he was sincere to his Lord in it. As the Messenger (may Allah send prayers and blessings upon him) said:
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.
Sahih Muslim 1718a
. There are many, and very many, hadiths indicating the rejection of all acts of worship that were innovated after him, which are related to religion and drawing near to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). We are content with this hadith for now, which is one that was agreed upon for its inclusionThe Shaykh : in their two Sahihs, which are among the most authentic books concerned with narrating hadith from the Messenger. They are, in truth, the most authentic books after the Book of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and there is no book more authentic than them in their rank, no matter how much the debaters argue about it. These two Sahihs narrated his saying (may Allah send prayers and blessings upon him):
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.
Sahih Muslim 1718a
, meaning it is rejected by its doer, and his face is struck with it, and it is not raised to Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) because it is not in accordance with the Sunnah, and consequently it is not a righteous deed. This is the first condition for a deed to be righteous and acceptable to Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
The other condition is that it be pure for the sake of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), as He (Mighty and Majestic) said:
And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion
[Al-Bayyinah 98:5]
. Many authentic hadiths have come that affirm the obligation of sincerity in worship to Allah; otherwise, the deed is invalid and rejected by its doer. I do not want to prolong this.
