Striving for two things: striving to learn the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and striving to act upon it.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Therefore, nothing remains for us but to strive with all our might for two things. The first thing is that we learn the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in everything that has come to us from Islam: in creed, or in worship, or in conduct and morals. And we will not be able, as I told you, but to imitate him (peace and blessings be upon him). As it was said:
"So imitate them, even if you are not like them, for imitating the noble ones is success."
We have no right to imitate any human being except him (peace and blessings be upon him), because he is the most perfect of all people, unanimously agreed upon. And everyone who imitates him after him is merely drawing from the ocean of his worship (peace and blessings be upon him). This is the first matter: that we learn the Sunnah of the Messenger (peace be upon him) in the broad sense.
