about the hadith that Allah, the Exalted, has two hands, a right and a left?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... The one you were mentioning here regarding the divine decree is the hadith of the two handfuls. The two handfuls are authentic.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : The narration I was asking you about is that ...
God created Adam when He created him and struck his right shoulder and brought forth his offspring white like small ants. And he struck his left shoulder and brought forth his offspring black as though they were charcoal. Then He said to the party on his right side, ‘To paradise, and I do not care’ and He said to the party in his left shoulder, ‘To hell, and I do not care’ خلق الله آدم حين خلقه ، فضرب كتفه اليمنى ، فأخرج ذرِّيَّة بيضاء كأنهم الذَّرُّ ، وضرب كتفه اليسرى ، فأخرج ذرِّيَّة سوداء كأنهم الحِمَم ، فقال للذي في يمينه : إلى الجنة ولا أبالي ، وقال للذي في كتفه اليسرى : إلى النار ولا أبالي
Mishkat al-Masabih 119Isnād Hasan (Zubair `Aliza'i)
You told me that these narrations are authentic, but there is also a narration that explicitly mentions the right hand and the left hand?

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : So the left, meaning.

The Shaykh : The left, yes.

The questioner : Is this narration found, I mean, in "Al-Silsilah"? Did you look at it in.

The Shaykh : No, it is not there, it is in other books, yes, I think the hadith of Ibn 'Umar is about grasping.

The questioner : ... with his right hand ... .

The Shaykh : No, no, it is this one.

The questioner : This one is found.

The Shaykh : No, the one you mentioned is about the Day of Resurrection, when the earth is replaced by another earth, and He grasps the earth with His left hand, Blessed and Exalted is He. This is in "Sahih Muslim".

The questioner : ... with His left hand.

The Shaykh : Yes, with His left hand. Then in "Sahih Muslim," I think from the hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari:
both of the Hands of my Lord are right وكلتا يدي ربِّي يمين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3367Hasan (Darussalam)
, yes, so the word "left" is established.

The questioner : Established.

The Shaykh : Yes, not with this one.
Yes.

The questioner : I mean, is it permissible for us to say that Allah has a right hand and a left hand?

The Shaykh: North.

The questioner: North.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : Is this permissible?

The Shaykh : Yes, but with following it with the other narration.

The questioner :
both of the Hands of my Lord are right وكلتا يدي ربِّي يمين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3367Hasan (Darussalam)
.

The Shaykh : Yes, and I mentioned to you that this narration is like a detail regarding this attribute in the beginning of His saying, the Exalted:
There is nothing like unto Him لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
; because for a human, it is not reasonable that both his hands are right. So it is misguidance, and misguidance means the sermons of "Kashk," this Egyptian, that in some of his words he addresses the Messenger, peace be upon him, and says: "O He whose both hands are right"!

The questioner : He addresses.

The Shaykh : He addresses the Messenger [The Shaykh laughs!], in the way of exaggeration in praise, meaning, he attributes the divine attribute to him!
