What is the ruling on one who intentionally breaks his fast in Ramadan? And does voluntary fasting benefit him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Does voluntary fasting benefit one who intentionally breaks his fast, given that there is no evidence for making up an intentional fast?

The Shaykh : There is no doubt that it benefits him, just as one who has neglected many of the obligatory acts benefits by compensating for what he missed with voluntary prayers. Similarly, one who breaks the fast for a day in Ramadan, or breaks it intentionally, has no way to make it up, and it is the most severe of sins until he repents to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with sincere repentance. Let him compensate for the good deeds he missed due to his breaking of the fast by increasing his voluntary acts until he compensates for something of what he missed. Yes.
