What is the authenticity of the hadith (Whoever prays over a funeral in the mosque, he has nothing...)? And what is the evidence for the superiority of praying over a funeral in the prayer area?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, you authenticated the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, which is
If anyone prays over the dead in the mosque, there is nothing من صلى على جنازة في المسجد فلا شيء
Sunan Abi Dawud 3191
. And you told me that praying over a funeral in the prayer area is better than praying over it in the mosque, so what is the evidence for the superiority and what was reported?

The Shaykh : The consistency of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), the consistency of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in praying over funerals in the prayer area rather than in the mosque, to the extent that some people denied that during the time of Lady Aisha, and she said:
How soon the people have forgotten that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) offered not the funeral prayer of Suhail b al-Baida' but in a mosque. ما أسرع ما ينسى الناس ما صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على ابني البيضاء إلا في المسجد
Sahih Muslim 973a
, do you understand? It ends.

The questioner : ...Imam Abu Ja'far says with the same hadith of Abu Hurayrah and the hadith of Aisha, and their evidence is the denial of the Companions towards Aisha.

The Shaykh : And what did Aisha do, what did she say to the Companions?

The questioner : She denied them.

The Shaykh : So, if...

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : So,

The Shaykh : Which denial do we take? The denial of those who denied Lady Aisha, or the denial of the Lady towards those who denied her?The student : The denial of the Lady.

The Shaykh : Why? Because the hadith is with her.

The questioner : It is a Prophetic proof.

The Shaykh : As for those who denied her, they did not deny her with any proof other than that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray in the prayer area, so the prayer of the Messenger in the prayer area does not contradict the permissibility of praying over a funeral in the mosque, but the whole matter is that most of the prayers he prayed were in the prayer area and a few of the prayers he prayed were in the mosque, and therefore we take what he was consistent in as the best, and we take what he was not consistent in as indicating permissibility as permissible, and thus the reconciliation between the two actions of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), the frequent action in the prayer area and the rare action in the mosque; at that time, the hadith of Abu Hurayrah comes
he has nothing for him فلا شيء له
. To clarify what I mentioned to you, the original rule is that the obligatory prayer is to be prayed in the mosque, and that is the best, so to remove such a misconception, especially since the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did it, meaning he prayed over a funeral in the mosque, he said
he has nothing for him فلا شيء له
. Meaning as an additional reward for the prayer in the prayer area.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : You want to say "upon him," you want to say "he has nothing," "he has nothing upon him"... This is known, my brother, there are two narrations, but the stronger one is
he has nothing فليس له
.
Al-Halabi : What is the evidence for preferring one over the other, my teacher?

The Shaykh : Following the narrations.
Al-Halabi : Following the narrations.
