Guarding the tongue from cursing and reviling
Question: Is it permissible to curse the people of sins or the oppressors? For example, if a person wrongs me in word or deed, may I curse him? Is this permissible or not?
Answer: It is not befitting for a Muslim to be a curser, nor a foul-mouthed person, nor one who uses foul language. He should guard his tongue from reviling and insulting, even if someone reviles him or insults him. He should not respond to them in kind;because of His saying, the Exalted: [Surah Fussilat: 34] .
Major sins,Cursing in general is permissible to say: The curse of Allah be upon the oppressors, the curse of Allah be upon the disbelievers, the curse of Allah be upon the open sinners, may Allah curse the one who consumes riba (usury or interest), the one who gives it, its witnesses, and its scribe.
Cursing the people of crimes in general, the crimes of shirk (associating partners with Allah), disbelief, and major sins in general, there is nothing wrong with this. As for cursing a specific person, a specific individual, this is a matter of disagreement among the scholars, and the correct view is that it is not permissible to curse a specific person because you do not know how his life will end.
