Aggression Against a Disbeliever in the Lands of the Muslims

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Urinating While Standing

Question: Is it permissible for a person to urinate while standing? What is the ruling on this? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer: It is disliked for a person to urinate while standing, except out of necessity, such as if he has an illness and cannot sit, in which case there is no harm in urinating while standing. Or if the place is dirty and impure, such that if he sat, he would become contaminated by it because it is a place of impurities, or because it contains mud and clay, in which case the person would become contaminated if he sat. So there is no objection to urinating while standing for a valid excuse. However, without a valid excuse, it is disliked for him to urinate while standing, because that may lead to him being struck by impurity or urine splashing onto him. And Allah the Exalted knows best.

Answer: It is not permissible to aggress against a disbeliever if he has entered the lands of the Muslims under a contract of safety, because he is under the protection of the Muslims, and it is not permissible to betray the protection of the Muslims. Nor is it permissible to aggress against him as long as he is within the lands of the Muslims under safety and a known system, because Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has commanded us to fulfill covenants.Allah the Exalted said:
And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah. Then deliver him to his place of safetyوَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ كَلَامَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ
[At-Tawbah: 6] .
As for if he commits something that warrants punishment, then the one who handles that is the one in authority. It is not permissible for individuals to punish him, because that leads to chaos and aggression. But if someone does something that undermines the religion of the Muslims or harms the Muslims, it is to be referred to the one in authority so that he may handle the punishment of this aggressor.
