What is transgression in supplication, with an example?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : I love you for the sake of Allah, and my question is: What is transgression in supplication? If possible, please give an example of it. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Yes, I say: May Allah love the one who loves us for His sake, and I ask Allah to make me and all of you among His loved ones and the awliya (close friends of Allah).
And love for the sake of Allah is one of the strongest ties of faith: that a person loves another, loving him only for the sake of Allah. As for his question regarding...

The questioner : transgression in...

The Shaykh : Transgression in asking means asking Allah the Mighty and Majestic for what is not possible by Shari'ah or by divine decree, or for what is forbidden by Shari'ah.
An example of this: If a person asked Allah to make him a Prophet, that would be a transgression in supplication. Why? Because it is not possible by Shari'ah, nor is it possible by divine decree, in accordance with the knowledge of Allah the Exalted, for Allah the Exalted said:
Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets ما كان محمد أبا أحد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله وخاتم النبيين
[Al-Ahzab 33:40]
. If a person asked Allah the Blessed and Exalted to destroy a Muslim among the Muslims, that would be a transgression in supplication, because this is asking for what? It is asking for a sin. If a person asked Allah, saying: "O Allah, I ask You to grant me hatred for my uncle," for example, that would be forbidden, because he asked Allah for severing family ties. So the criterion is: if he asks for what is not permissible, he has transgressed in supplication. But if he asks for what is permissible, he has worshipped Allah the Exalted through his asking, and it is hoped that his supplication will be answered.
But here is a question: Is it permissible for a person to ask for something related to this world while he is praying? For example, saying: "O Allah, I ask You to grant me a car, model 91." What do you say? He is praying in prostration. Hmm.

The questioner : It is permissible.

The Shaykh : Well, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
As for prostration, increase in it the remembrance of Allah. أما السجود فأكثروا فيه من الدعاء
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2:274
. What do you say, in light of this hadith, is it permissible or not permissible? It is permissible. And the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said, when mentioning the tashahhud:
Then he chooses from supplication whatever he wishes. ثم يتخير من الدعاء ما شاء
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:242
. Whatever you wish, whatever you love. And supplication, my brothers, is worship. Even if you ask Allah for an ordinary matter, it is worship. The moment you say: "O Lord, give me such and such," you are worshipping Allah. One of you answered just now, saying: "This is speech." But speech with whom? Yes, speech with Allah. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In prayer, the speech of whom is not appropriate? The speech of humans, or is nothing of the speech of people appropriate in it? But speech with Allah: "Speak to your Lord as you wish," yes, provided it is not a sin, as the questioner mentioned earlier.
