What is the ruling on a woman who traveled to her home after her tawaf of farewell and her stoning of the Aqabah pillar at night?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Please go ahead.

The questioner : A woman traveled on the evening of the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah after stoning the Aqabah pillar, at twelve o'clock at night, after she had performed the tawaf of farewell. What is the ruling on her action?

The Shaykh : Repeat it for me.

The questioner : A woman traveled on the evening of the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah after stoning the Aqabah pillar, at twelve o'clock at night, after she had performed the tawaf of farewell.

The Shaykh : Do you mean that she did not return to Mina, stay there, and stone the pillars for the remaining days of stoning during the days of Tashriq? Is that what you mean?

The questioner : Yes, she performed the tawaf...

The Shaykh : Did she stone the large pillar?

The questioner : Yes, she performed the tawaf of farewell.

The Shaykh : At night.

The questioner : In the afternoon, then she returned to Mina and sat there.

The Shaykh : She returned to Mina and sat there.

The questioner : Until twelve o'clock at night.

The Shaykh : Then...

The questioner : Then she moved and traveled to her home.

The Shaykh : If she did that intentionally and knowingly, she has committed a sin.

The questioner : Intentionally, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Then she has committed a sin because she left obligatory acts in her path, namely staying overnight and stoning the pillars during the days of Tashriq. Many scholars make it obligatory for her to sacrifice an animal because of leaving an obligatory act, let alone multiple obligatory acts. However, I have not seen in the Shari'ah what obligates specifically the one who intends to violate the rules to expiate for his mistake with an animal. So his sin is sufficient [as a consequence].

The questioner : Well, for those who make the animal obligatory, is one animal sufficient, or is it necessary to...?

The Shaykh : This is a question by express mail; direct it to them. I am unable to answer it.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And beware of it.

The Shaykh : Welcome...
