Why did the misguided sects consider the Qur'an to be created and recent, and what is the purpose of that?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The last paragraph in this questioner's letter says, "Shaykh Muhammad, why did the misguided sects consider the Qur'an to be created and recent, and what is the purpose of that?"

The Shaykh : Yes. First, as you heard, the word "recent" is fine, provided we are not addressing someone who understands from it that it is created, and that "recent" is the opposite of "created." As for "created," they adopted this view due to doubts that were upon them, such as the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Allah is the Creator of all things اللَّهُ خالِقُ كُلِّ شَيءٍ
[Ar-Ra'd 13:16]
and the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقديرًا
[Al-Furqan 25:2]
and the like. They thought that this was the truth, but this was clarified to them, and the error was clarified to them, except that they persisted and defied, and they began to call to this innovation of theirs, which is an innovation of misguidance. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
