Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I have money belonging to a man, but I searched for him and could not find him. What is obligatory for me to do? May you be rewarded.

The Shaykh : If you have lost hope of finding him and you do not know of any heir for him, then give this money in charity on his behalf. Then, if he appears one day, give him the choice. Say to him: “I lost hope of finding you and gave the coins in charity. If you approve of it, the reward is yours. If you do not approve, these are your coins and the reward is mine.” Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you, O honorable Shaykh.
