A man died and he had some money owed to him, so what should I do?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This is a questioner, O honorable Shaykh, who did not mention his name here. In fact, he has a set of questions. He says, "A man died and he had some money owed to him, so what should I do?"

The Shaykh : Owed to him?

The questioner : He had some money owed to him, so what should I do?

The Shaykh : It is obligatory for you to search for his heirs so that you can hand over the deceased's money to them, because when a person dies, his wealth passes to his heirs. If you are unable to identify them, give it in charity on behalf of its owner, meaning intend it for the one it belongs to. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), by His knowledge, power, and authority, will deliver it to the one it belongs to. Yes.
