The questioner : We conclude this session with this question: If a woman is afflicted with menstrual blood, then she becomes pure, and after one or two days the blood returns for a few days, then she becomes pure again, and she is confused, what is required of her?
The Shaykh : If what returned came in the form of ordinary menstrual blood, then it is menstruation, and women know that. But if it returned in another form, such as yellowish or brownish discharge and the like, then it is not menstruation. Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "We did not count the yellowish or brownish discharge as anything", as narrated by al-Bukhari. And in a narration by Abu Dawud: "after purity, as anything".
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh.
