Is it established in the Sunnah that the Qur'an burns the jinn?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you with the best reward for Islam, and grant us and you and those present the companionship of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in Paradise, and forgive your parents.

The Shaykh: Amen.

The questioner : Is it established in the authentic Sunnah that the Qur'an burns the jinn? And as for the jinn that possesses a person, if he is ordered to come out and does not come out; does the Qur'an burn him? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : I do not know of anything in the Sunnah that reciting the Qur'an burns the jinn possessing a person. But what we know is that the Noble Qur'an, as the Lord of the Worlds said:
in which there is healing for people فيه شفاء للناس
[An-Nahl 16:69]
, and it is
healing for what is in the breasts شفاء لما في الصدور
[Yunus 10:57]
. It has come in some hadiths in "Musnad al-Imam Ahmad" and elsewhere that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a woman who had a child afflicted with al-lamm—meaning madness—and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited some verses of the Qur'an over him, and it was as if he had been untied from a rope. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled on and continued his way. Then, when he returned and passed by the woman, he asked her about her son. She said: "Praise be to Allah, he remains as I left him after he was healed."
This is established in the Sunnah that the Qur'an is beneficial in expelling the jinn possessing a person, and this hadith is a witness to that. Then, some of the sincere imams in their following of the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to follow this example in their attempts to expel the jinn possessing a person. At the head of these is Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him); it was known in his time that if he recited some of the verses of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) over the possessed person, he would rise immediately as if Satan had not touched him. So reciting the Qur'an is beneficial in this regard. As for the claim that the Qur'an burns the jinn, this is something I have not heard of or known, and I do not think it can be authentic.
Please, at the end, there is a place by the door, behind you.
