A discussion on the hadith of the five prayers and the qualification at its end with the will of Allah; is this like the statement of 'Isa ibn Maryam, "If You punish them, they are Your servants"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith:
Five prayers have been written... خمس صلوات كتبهن...
Then he said at the end:
So his affair is with Allah فأمره إلى الله
This means he linked it to the will of Allah. Naturally, if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will forgive him. Some might say that this is like the statement of 'Isa ibn Maryam to his Lord (Mighty and Majestic):
If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. إن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وإن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزِيزُ الحَكِيمُ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:118]
So what is the answer to this objection?

The Shaykh : Do you want to say that this statement is made by those who declare the abandoner of prayer a disbeliever?

The questioner : The objection came to me.

The Shaykh : May Allah forgive you. Do not make the path long for us. Just tell me, do I want this or not?

The questioner : No

The Shaykh : So, what do you want from the one who says this?

The questioner : An objection came to me.

The Shaykh : There is no problem with the objection you have, but we have not yet understood it. Is it still in your mind that this statement is made by one who says that the abandoner of prayer is a disbeliever absolutely?

The questioner : I do not know.

The Shaykh : Or the opposite?

The questioner : I do not know.

The Shaykh : Okay, then let us see what is behind the veil. What is the objection?

The questioner : The objection is that...

The Shaykh : Is it what you raised, and nothing more? Okay, clarify the objection for us. What is the similarity between the verse in which Allah narrated from 'Isa and this hadith spoken by the Messenger of Allah? What is the similarity between the two matters?

The questioner : If He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will forgive him. They are in the verse...

The Shaykh : My brother, what can we benefit from you?
