Is prostration of recitation during prayer performed with takbir or not, and how is that done when the individual is the imam in a mosque?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Ghaylan from Yemen, from Sana'a, has a set of questions. In the first question, he asks: Is prostration of recitation during prayer performed with takbir or not, and how is that done when the individual is the imam in a mosque?

The Shaykh : If prostration of recitation is during prayer, it is obligatory to say takbir when prostrating and to say takbir when rising, because it is part of the prayer. Those who transmitted the description of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer mention that he would say takbir every time he lowered himself and every time he bowed, and prostration of recitation is included among his lowering and raising. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the verse containing the prostration in prayer and then prostrate. As for if the prostration is outside of prayer, he says takbir when prostrating but does not say takbir when rising, and he does not say the closing salam. This is the stronger position regarding prostration of recitation when it is outside of prayer.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
