The Shaykh : ... You have a set of questions, Brother Ibrahim, may Allah bless you...
The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may the best of prayers and the most perfect of peace be upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon his family and his Companions. O dear brothers, we welcome our Shaykh, our scholar, and our great teacher with the warmest of welcomes. The Shaykh : Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, and his accompanying brothers, and may Allah reward us for them for the hardship of the journey and the effort they exert seeking the face of Allah the Exalted, if Allah wills. O dear brothers, the topic we requested for today's discussion is Islamic creed, the fundamental and primary topic which, if it becomes clear and sound in a person's belief, in his heart, and in his limbs in his life, then matters will be sound and affairs will be clear, and the journey will be surrounded by the care of Allah the Exalted and His pleasure. The prophets (peace be upon them) faced from the nations and peoples they called to Allah the same issue that has recurred through generations and years: shirk (associating partners with Allah). So the Prophet would carry the tawhid (the oneness of Allah) of Allah. Therefore, the disease is one and the cure is one: shirk is the disease, and the pure, clean tawhid of Allah the Exalted is the cure. So the prophets (peace be upon them) presented this cure from its pure source, and the scholars inherited this task of presenting this cure to those afflicted by that disease. A person cannot be healthy, sound, and well unless he realizes tawhid in his life and his soul. Therefore, O brothers, the scholars carried this trust and this responsibility, and it is obligatory upon us to seek knowledge from its people, because the way to understanding the correct, sound, and healthy creed is to seek it from those who inherited it from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). I mean by that the scholars of the Book and the Sunnah. So I ask Allah the Exalted to bestow upon us, to teach us, and to pour upon us from this knowledge which Allah the Exalted gave and bestowed upon the scholars of this Ummah (the Muslim community), among whom is our noble Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani. May Allah reward us all with every good.
