Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Does a person sin if he lives with people who do not pray, but he enjoining good and forbidding evil, yet he cannot boycott them because they are his brothers and relatives?

The Shaykh : Yes. If they do not pray, it is obligatory for him to advise them from time to time. If they persist in abandoning the prayer, they are disbelievers who have apostatized from the religion of Islam, deserving to remain in the Fire, may Allah protect us from that. He must boycott them; he should not respond to their invitations, nor greet them, nor invite them, except if he hopes, even if it is a distant hope, that Allah the Exalted will guide them through his advice. He should not despair of the mercy of Allah. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. What is the hadith that was mentioned? The questioner says.
