A word on the hadith of (the man who willed his sons to burn him).

The Shaykh : Second, the evidence, or at least some of it, confirms that if a person errs, even in matters of creed, he is also excused. The greatest proof of this is two hadiths, which I can now recite for you. The first hadith is that of the man who gathered his sons when death approached him and said to them: "What kind of father was I to you?" They said: "The best of fathers." He said: "Indeed, I am a sinner with my Lord, and if Allah were to take me, He would punish me with a severe punishment. So when I die, take me and burn me with fire, then take half of me and scatter it in the wind, and the other half in the sea." When he died, they carried out this will, which is perhaps the furthest from justice and the furthest from the Shari'ah. Then Allah the Exalted said to his particles: "Be so-and-so," and so it was. Then Allah the Exalted said to him: This is disbelief, without doubt it is disbelief, because he willed this unjust will, in his opinion, to mislead from his Lord. It reminds us of His saying, the Exalted: [Ya-Sin 36:78] So this man assumed with this will that Allah the Exalted is not able to return him as a sound human being, but Allah gave him life and said to him: "Be so-and-so," and He addressed him. But Allah the Exalted, who is All-Knowing of what is in the breasts, knew from this man that he did not do his deed because he was a denier of the Resurrection and the rising, but rather it was out of fear of the punishment reserved for him, which he acknowledged and that he was deserving of. He was blind in his insight, so he willed this unjust will.
O My servant, what prompted you to do what you did? He said: My Lord, I feared You. He said: Go, for I have forgiven you.
أيا عبدي ما حملك على ما فعلت؟ قال: ربي خشيتك قال: اذهب فقد غفرت لكAnd he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
