The Shaykh : There is a hadith that testifies to what I said: Did he see them in Paradise? Is the hadith clear? We discussed this hadith here and said it is valid according to the condition of…The Shaykh : …to the end of it. Al-Hakim graded it as authentic and al-Dhahabi agreed with him. I said, perhaps the intended meaning of these rivers being from Paradise is that their origin is from there, just as the origin of man is from Paradise. This does not contradict the hadith with what is known and observed, namely that these rivers spring from the known springs on earth. If this meaning or something similar to it is not the case, then the hadith is among the matters of the unseen that one must believe in and submit to the One who informed about them. [An-Nisa 4:65] And now it is one and a quarter, if Allah wills, so we will suffice with this amount. And Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise, I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.
The Sidrat al-Muntaha was shown to me in the seventh heaven, its dates like the jars of Hijr and its leaves like the ears of elephants. I believed or did I not believe? Two rivers appear from its trunk and two rivers are hidden. So I said, “O Jibril, what are these two?” He said, “As for the two hidden ones, they are in Paradise, and as for the two apparent ones, they are the Nile and the Euphrates.”

فلا وربك لا يؤمنون حتى يحكموك فيما شجر بينهم ثم لا يجدوا في أنفسهم حرجا مما قضيت و يسملوا تسليما
