(13) And he certainly saw him in another descent (14) At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary - ولقد رآه نزلة أخرى عند سدرة المنتهى
[An-Najm 53:13-14]
Who is the doer in "he saw Him"? The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and the object of "he saw Him" is Jibril,
in another descent نزلة أخرى
meaning descending once again
(14) At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary - (15) Near it is the Garden of Refuge - (16) When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it]. عند سدرة المنتهى* عندها جنة المأوى* إذ يغشى السدرة ما يغشى
[An-Najm 53:14-16]
meaning in terms of beauty and loveliness
The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit]. ما زاغ البصر وما طغى
[An-Najm 53:17]
the sight did not deviate ما زاغ
meaning it did not deviate to the right or left
and did not transgress وما طغى
so he looked at what he was not commanded to look at
He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. لقد رأى من آيات ربّه الكبرى
[An-Najm 53:18]
