Prohibition of listening to singing on the day of the festival.

The Shaykh : Provided that it does not lead to anything forbidden. If a person came and said, "I swear by Allah, I desire music, the songs of so-and-so and so-and-so, I will bring music, I will bring a female singer, I will bring a male singer on the days of the festival, and I will make it, what shall we say?" We say: This is forbidden, because if the joy reaches a limit that is prohibited by the Shari'ah, it must be stopped, because it becomes recklessness and an improper release.
