The Shaykh : Allah the Mighty and Majestic said: [Az-Zumar 39:68] This is the second blast. [Az-Zumar 39:68] "They" refers to the resurrected dead. Their souls will enter their bodies, and they will rise from their graves to the Lord of the worlds. So reflect, my brother, on this immense power. One blast causes everyone in the heavens and on the earth to be struck down, except whom Allah wills. Another blast causes the dead to come to life, rising from their graves in a single moment, as Allah the Exalted said: [Ya-Sin 36:53] It will be but a single call, and they will all be brought before Us. [An-Nazi'at 79:13-14] We created in this world with development; a human being remains in his mother's womb for nine months, or less, or more. But the blast of the Trumpet, when it is blown, causes all creation to rise alive in a single moment, so they will all be brought before Us. Through this, the perfection of the power of Allah the Mighty and Majestic becomes clear to you, and that when He wills a thing, He only says to it, "Be," and it is, as Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Qamar 54:50] A single command, without repetition and without delay, like the flash of lightning. Do you find anything faster than the flash of lightning? No. Therefore, the command of Allah, no matter how great or numerous the commanded thing is, is only issued once. When this commanded thing is completed, it is as Allah the Mighty and Majestic ordered. The command that Allah directs to creation, Allah the Exalted directs it to those who have intellect and perception, and to those who have no intellect or perception, but they respond to the command of Allah, as we heard in tonight's recitation in the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He: [Fussilat 41:11] Did they not understand this address? I ask you.
The questioner : Yes
The Shaykh : What is the evidence that they understood it? They said: So they understood the address and obeyed the command of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. The fire that was kindled for Ibrahim (Abraham); Allah said to it: [Al-Anbya 21:69] So it became coolness and peace. The pen with which Allah wrote the destinies of creation; Allah created it and said to it, "Write." It said, "My Lord, what should I write?" He said, "Write what is to be." So it ran in that moment with what is to be until the Day of Resurrection. So the created things, even if they are inanimate, understand the command of Allah and obey it and obey Him, Mighty and Majestic, and that happens immediately without delay.
Then it will be blown again
ثم نفخ فيه أخرىand at once they will be standing, looking on.
It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.
(13) Indeed, it will be but one shout, (14) And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.
Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion."
The questioner : Yes
The Shaykh : What is the evidence that they understood it? They said:
