Among the benefits of faith in divine decree and destiny is that no worry or grief befalls the Muslim regarding what is decreed for him.

The Shaykh : And among these benefits of faith is that what has befallen us has been written and is already concluded, so we are not afflicted with worry. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan. فإن لو تفتح عمل الشيطان
Sahih Muslim 2664
So when divine decree and destiny occur after you have done the causes, contrary to what you wanted, do not exhaust yourself with worry, saying, "I wish I had done this, I wish I had done that." Let us give an example: A man traveled, and during his journey, he was involved in an accident that destroyed his car. Would he be pleased with this accident? By nature, he would not be pleased. By faith in destiny, he is pleased and knows that this is a matter that had to happen. So he does not afflict himself with worry, nor does he say, "If I had not traveled, this would not have happened to me." For this reason, when Allah mentioned the hypocrites who said, "If they had obeyed us, they would not have been killed," Allah said:
Say, "Then prevent death from yourselves, if you should be truthful." قل فادرؤوا عن أنفسكم الموت إن كنتم صادقين
[Ali 'Imran 3:168]
This is because a person cannot ward off death by means after Allah has decreed it. So the result is that when we believe in the saying of the Exalted:
No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being ما أصاب من مصيبة في الأرض ولا في أنفسكم إلا في كتاب من قبل أن نبرأها
[Al-Hadid 57:22]
we obtain these benefits, and Allah has alluded to them in His saying:
