The questioner : The honorable Shaykh says: Regarding the project for feeding fasting people organized by the Community Office here, there may be a disbeliever among some of the workers who come to break their fast who does not know Islam. What is the ruling on this, what should be done, and what is the ruling on his entering the mosque and eating that food?

The Shaykh : I see that this may be a cause for inviting him to Islam. One can say to him, "Please, but accept Islam, pray, and fast." If you are not fasting, do not enter. He is invited to Islam in this way.
As for his eating from this food prepared for breaking the fast of fasting people, it is known that if a Muslim man enters the mosque while not fasting due to travel or illness, it is not permissible for him to eat from this food because it is designated for fasting people. What is endowed or provided for a specific group is not permissible for anyone other than that group to benefit from. Therefore, if a person endows a waqf for students of knowledge and a person from the righteous servants of Allah comes to eat from this waqf, we say it is not permissible for you, because the waqf is for whom? For students of knowledge. So the designated thing remains designated. But regarding what the questioner mentioned, we say it may be a cause for inviting him to Islam, so he accepts Islam. Yes.
