Reflection on the signs of Allah in the stages of the creation of the fetus.

The Shaykh : Because in the womb of his mother, the first thing to occur is a drop of fluid (nutfah) which the man ejaculates into the womb of the woman. Then the ovule in the womb is fertilized by it. Then it remains in this state for forty days, undergoing slight changes during this period. This does not mean it remains a drop of fluid until forty days; it changes, but the description of it as a drop of fluid predominates until it reaches forty days. Then it becomes a clot of blood (alaqah). The alaqah is a worm of blood. It remains an alaqah for forty days, forming, but the formation is slight. Then it thickens, thickens, and thickens until it reaches eighty days. When it reaches eighty days, it becomes a lump of flesh (mudghah). It remains a mudghah for forty days after the eighty. Allah mentioned in the Qur'an that this mudghah is created and uncreated. In the beginning, it is uncreated, and in the end, it becomes created. I have seen a miscarried fetus and found it like a finger, but Glorified is Allah! All of its organs are present. Some are prominent, like the eyes. The eyes in this, which is like a finger, are very prominent and clear, and the rest are hidden. The hand and the leg, the two hands and the two legs, are black lines before they separate from one another.
So I was amazed. Glorified is Allah the Great! Who creates this fetus in the mother's womb, creating it creation after creation? Allah, Mighty and Majestic. If the whole world were to gather to create a single fetus, they would not be able to find a way to do so. Indeed, Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Hajj 22:73] Allah is the Greatest. Allah says, listen, listen to this parable: [Al-Hajj 22:73] a gnat, which is one of the most insignificant things. If every object of worship other than Allah were to gather, and included among the objects of worship other than Allah are rulers, the great, idols, and other than idols, everything, [Al-Hajj 22:73] Look, this is a challenge. This is a challenge in the matter of divine decree and cosmic affairs. And there is a challenge in the matter of the Shari'ah. What is it? [Al-Isra 17:88] So reflect on this fetus in the womb of its mother. Then know that the fetus in the womb of its mother has its face toward the back of its mother and its back toward her belly. Glorified is Allah! Why? Because if its face were toward the back of the mother, the back would be protection for it, protecting it so that nothing falls on its face. And if its back were toward the belly of its mother, the belly is soft, but the back of the fetus is stronger than its front, its belly. So the back is on the side of the belly, and the face is on the side of the back. When Allah wills to bring it out, does it come down like this? No, it must turn over so that its head is the lowest. Yes, it turns over. And this is the labor that befalls the woman. The labor that befalls the woman is for the purpose of the fetus turning over so that its head is the lowest, and the head comes out first so that the fetus slides out of its exit. If it were the opposite, and the legs came out first, because the hands, for example, would get stuck and not come out, and the fetus would be torn. So Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has a sign in every thing indicating that He is One. So I say, if a person sits and reflects on these creations, who created them and who placed in them what guides them to their interests?
