The Shaykh’s exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed, those who harm Allah and His Messenger—Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : After that, we return to what we heard in the recitation of this night from the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(57) Indeed, those who abuse Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment. (58) And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.
[Al-Ahzab 33:57-58]
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has clarified in this verse three types of harm: harm to Allah, harm to His Messenger, and harm to the believers. As for harm to Allah and His Messenger, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, placed them under one ruling and in one category, because harming the Messenger of Allah is harm to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and harming Allah is harm to His Messenger. Therefore, those who harm Allah and His Messenger deserve the curse, may Allah protect us from it, and the humiliating punishment. The curse is being cast out and kept away from the mercy of Allah.
