The Shaykh :
"So take refuge in the revelation and the Sunnahs that *** follow it. What a shield for the brave it is"
The people of the Sunnah and the people of the Hadith take refuge in the revelation, which is the Book of Allah, and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). The author says: "What a shield for the brave it is". The shield is strong and the one who carries it is brave.
"It is their shield, it is their shield, and Allah is a shield from your aggression *** and a shield on the Day of Resurrection from the fires"
What Allah willed, meaning that it is a shield for the people of the Hadith. The revelation means that the revelation is a shield. Let the question come later. It means that the revelation is a shield for the people of the revelation in this world and in the Hereafter. In this world, it is a shield from the aggression of these people, because when they argue with us using what they consider logical, we argue with them using what is transmitted. And these sciences are not attained except through transmission. As for the second day, it is the Day of Resurrection, a shield from the fires, because whoever affirms for Allah what He has described Himself with has saved himself from denial of the divine attributes.
