Knowledge they attained through His attributes*** No one among the people was granted this (Continuation of the previous discussion regarding the prophets who are mentioned in the Qur'an)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The ones of firm resolve are five of the messengers: Muhammad, Ibrahim, Musa, Nuh, and Isa. They were the ones of firm resolve because of knowledge they attained regarding the attributes of Allah, which no one among the people was granted. There is no doubt that these five messengers received knowledge of Allah, His names, and His attributes that did not befall others. Then the prophets and messengers are in different ranks.
Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. تلك الرسل فضلنا بعضهم على بعض
[Al-Baqarah 2:253]
And We have made some of the prophets exceed others ولقد فضلنا بعض النبيين على بعض
[Al-Isra 17:55]
The messengers have been preferred over one another, and the prophets have also been preferred over one another. And the favor of Allah is granted to whom He wills.
