(Explanation that the Mujtahid is rewarded and the manner of it) This, and we hope that the one who formulates it, so *** do not consider it a reward, or that he has two rewards, if he states the extent of his knowledge without *** imposing it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said:
"This, and we hope that the one who formulates it, so *** do not consider it a reward, or that he has two rewards"
This means we see that whoever issues a ruling based on independent legal reasoning is not devoid of reward, either one or two. When does he have two rewards? When he is correct. And one when he is wrong. As he said, the manner in which he is rewarded.
"If he states the extent of his knowledge" Every person who states the extent of his knowledge is not to be blamed. No, you are with us, no, good.
"If he states the extent of his knowledge without *** imposing" Yes. "Without *** imposing its acceptance upon a person"
Allah is the Greatest. This is justice, meaning he states the extent of his knowledge and does not say that people must follow me, without imposing it upon a person. This is the divine scholar who clarifies the truth in his view and does not say to people that you are obligated to follow my opinion. Listen to the words of Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him).
