Interjection from Ali Hasan on the topic of speaking about jihad in Afghanistan or Bosnia or elsewhere.

Ali Hasan: Our Shaykh, may Allah preserve you, just as our brother Abu Usamah mentioned, may Allah reward him with good, when these people speak about the topic of jihad, for example in Chechnya or Kashmir or sometimes in Bosnia, we sometimes give you a brief answer and say that this is one of the major issues, and major issues are for the major scholars. As for people like us, the young ones, the beginners, the students of knowledge, and people like you, the enthusiastic ones or the activists or such, this is not for us. Because the issue entails the destruction of crops and offspring, the spending of wealth, killing, displacement, and the division of the Ummah, and so on. So this requires a fatwa from a scholar among the imams of this era and the imams of this time. As for linking matters to fatwas from here and there, where those who do not know how to handle them take the lead, this means turning the matter upside down.
