Is a person suffering from a psychological condition that frequently afflicts him rewarded?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is a person suffering from a psychological condition that frequently afflicts him rewarded? I hope you will provide information on this, may you be rewarded.

The Shaykh : The calamities that befall a person in his body, his family, his wealth, or his community serve as expiation for sins; Allah expiates the sins of the servant through them. If he is patient and seeks reward from Allah, he is rewarded for it. Thus, people’s states regarding calamities are three:
The first is the one who does not have patience, but rather complains and believes that this is a form of injustice against him; this person commits a sin in addition to the calamity that befell him.
The second state is that he has patience, does not grumble, and does not complain about the decree of Allah; in this case, Allah expiates whatever He wills of his sins through this calamity.
The third state is that he has patience while seeking reward from Allah (Mighty and Majestic); in this state, the calamity serves as expiation for sin, and he is rewarded for seeking reward from Allah (Mighty and Majestic).

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
