What is the ruling on dyeing a young man's hair black?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May the Shaykh be respected, I have used a type of henna or dye that is black in color on my head due to the spread of white hair, knowing that I am a young man who has not yet married. What is the ruling?

The Shaykh : May Allah make it easy for you to find a wife, even if your hair is white. Dyeing the hair black is forbidden, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited it, and a hadith has come regarding the warning against it. But instead of dyeing it pure black, dye it with henna and katam. Katam is black and henna is red; mix them all together so that it becomes a color between red and black. In doing so, you will attain the Sunnah and stay away from this sin.
Perhaps Allah (Mighty and Majestic) will make it easy for you to obtain this type of dye so that you dye your head with it until Allah makes your matter easy with a righteous wife, for Allah says
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease. ومن يتق الله يجعل له من أمره يسرا
[At-Talaq 65:4]
.
And I thank the brother for this question, because he did not ask except to avoid what is not permissible. So we say: mix the henna with the katam and dye the head with it, and it will be between red and black.
And it is amazing, oh people, it is the most amazing thing that one never gets tired of being amazed by, that I heard that some women dye their black hair with ash-hal! There is a new fashion they call "the mesh". The mesh, and what do you know about the mesh! They dye black hair with an ash-hal color, meaning it leans toward whiteness. Glory be to Allah, the old women love to dye the whiteness with black, and you, being young, dye the black with whiteness!
