The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "Your Lord has not neglected you, nor has He become displeased with you."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. ما ودعك ربك وما قلى
[Ad-Duhaa 93:3]
"Neglected" means abandoned, and "displeased" means hated. This is a refutation of the claim of those who said: "Muhammad has been abandoned by his Lord" and "Muhammad has been hated by his Lord." Allah, Mighty and Majestic, swore that He did not abandon him and did not leave him
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. ما ودعك ربك وما قلى
[Ad-Duhaa 93:3]
. - Pay attention, O my brother -
"Your Lord" — to whom is the Lordship here attached? No, my brother, "Lord" is attached to what? And the "you" is the one to whom it is attached. To whom is the Lordship attached? To whom? To Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Attaching Lordship to a specific person means complete care for that one who is under His care. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is the Lord of all the worlds. But when He attaches His Lordship to a specific person, that is evidence of His care for what? For that specific person. The sorcerers said:
We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, آمنا برب العالمين
[Al-A'raf 7:121]
after which
We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, آمنا برب العالمين
[Al-A'raf 7:121]
what comes after
The Lord of Moses and Aaron رب موسى وهارون
the first is general Lordship. The second is specific Lordship. So when Allah attaches His Lordship to a specific person, that is evidence of His care for him. For this reason, the scholars call this Lordship the most complete form of specific Lordship. Now, "Your Lord has not neglected you" — the One who raised you with His blessings, when you were small and when you were large, before the Prophethood and after it, and He perfected His blessing until the one who died (peace and blessings be upon him).
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. ما ودعك ربك وما قلى
[Ad-Duhaa 93:3]
. "Neglected" — what does it mean, my brother? Stand up. Answer, may Allah reward you, and you are standing so the people can hear you.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : "Your Lord has not neglected you" — what does it mean?
The student: He did not abandon you.

The Shaykh : He did not abandon you. Well done. And "displeased." You.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : "Displeased" — what does it mean?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : My brother, what is the benefit? Is your body present or is your heart present? Shall we direct the question to someone else? All right, rest. Yes.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : What?
The student: He hates you.

The Shaykh : He hates you. May Allah reward you. Rest.
Here is a question: Why did Allah deny that He abandoned Him and hated Him? Please.
The student: Because the polytheists said that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, abandoned Muhammad and hated him.

The Shaykh : Well done. In response to the statement of the deniers of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that Allah abandoned him and became displeased with him, Allah the Exalted refuted their claim. So the denial of abandonment and the denial of hatred is intended to affirm the perfection of the opposite. What is the opposite of abandonment? Care. Care for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). What is the opposite of hatred? Love. So it is as if He, Mighty and Majestic, said: "Allah the Exalted has cared for you, and He has loved you with a care that contains no abandonment and a love that contains no hatred."
