What is the ruling on one who fasts Ramadan without forming the intention the night before?

The Shaykh : Peace be upon you. What Allah willed, there is no power except in Allah.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows, this session is a continuation of the session that was held at the beginning of the night. It will include answering questions in a short time, if Allah wills, not exceeding half an hour. So we begin with the questions.
The questioner : In a little while. One who married with the intention of divorce.

The questioner : Praise be to Allah, and may prayers and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. And as for what follows. O Shaykh, I bear witness to Allah of my love for you in Him, if Allah wills. And I fasted most of the days of Ramadan without forming the intention the night before. So what is the action now? And may Allah reward you with good.
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
I say, may Allah love the one who loves us in Him. And He made us and you among His loved ones. He is asking, saying that he fasted Ramadan without forming the intention the night before. So we say it is not valid to fast Ramadan, whether as a performance or as making up a missed fast, until he forms the intention before dawn. Because if he did not form the intention before dawn, he would have fasted part of a day, not a full day. And based on this, it is obligatory for him to repeat it.
But there is no doubt that if a person offers the pre-dawn meal and eats, he is intending. And he does not need to say, "O Allah, I intend to fast," because the discussion is about the intention and speaking it aloud is a religious innovation. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions, when they wanted to perform a worship, did not say, "We intend to fast, we intend to pray, we intend to perform ablution." So whoever speaks about the intention is considered to be opposing the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Then, there is no need for that, because the place of the intention is the heart. And is what is in the heart of a person hidden from Allah? No, by the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Qaf 50:16-17]. So speaking the intention aloud is not from the Sunnah, but it is a religious innovation. Yes.
The questioner : The questioner says, O honorable Shaykh, is it permissible to declare a specific person a disbeliever based merely on a sign?
The Shaykh : What?
The questioner : Declaring a specific person a disbeliever.
The Shaykh : Is this one of yesterday's questions?
The questioner : No, yesterday's questions are gone.
The Shaykh : Yes, indeed.
