The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "And the day when it reveals it, and the night when it covers it."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
And the day when it reveals it, and the night when it covers it والنهار إذا جلاها والليل إذا يغشاها
This is among the signs of Allah. You people in the cities today do not know the extent of the day. Why? Why, people? Because of the electric lights, a person does not know. But if you were in the desert and had no lighting, you would find a delicious taste in the appearance of the day. So the day reveals, reveals the plain land and makes it clear. And by it, what was hidden becomes apparent. Now we are in great lights. Can we see with these lights what we see when the sun rises? Answer. No, not even. And even if there are strong lights, they are not like the sun
And the day when it reveals it, and the night when it covers it والنهار إذا جلاها والليل إذا يغشاها
. "It covers it" means the night covers it, Glory be to Allah! A garment. As Allah the Exalted said:
And made the night as clothing وجعلنا الليل لباسا
[An-Naba 78:10]
It covers the earth. And a person does not know the value of this garment unless he is in an airplane. If he is in an airplane and the sun has set on the earth, then when the airplane rises, it sees the sun. If you look at the earth in this state, you find it as if it is covered with a black cloak. Glory be to Allah! The night covers it, and this is among the signs of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He. Who is able to bring the day when it has gone?
The student: Allah.

The Shaykh : And the night when it has gone? Allah, Mighty and Majestic.
