Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The pronoun in His saying.

The Shaykh : Repeat, repeat.

The questioner : The honorable Shaykh says.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Why is the pronoun in His saying:
And the night when it covers it, and the day when it reveals it والليل إذا يغشاها والنهار إذا جلاها
not referring to the sun? And you, may Allah preserve you, said that the pronoun refers to the earth.

The Shaykh : Yes. This is not correct, because the night does not cover the sun, nor does it conceal it. When the sun goes away, the night comes. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
