The questioner : May Allah guide you. What is the ruling if a woman performs 'Umrah and does not know about the onset of menstruation until after the completion of the 'Umrah, and it is not a full flow but rather something resembling dust?

The Shaykh : This question is answered by the first answer. The answer is derived from the first answer: whatever precedes menstruation that is not blood, but is rather a dark or yellow discharge, is of no consequence. Indeed, if a woman finishes the tawaf and sa'y and then sees blood, and she does not know whether it came out before the tawaf or after the tawaf, then her 'Umrah is valid, because the original state is that it did not come out. Likewise, if she breaks her fast and then sees the blood of menstruation, and she does not know whether it came out before the setting of the sun or after its setting, then her fast is valid. But here is a question: if she performed tawaf and then menstruated after the tawaf and before the sa'y, does she complete the 'Umrah? The answer
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes, she completes the 'Umrah, because ritual purity is not a condition for sa'y.
