The Shaykh : Now, if the waiting period is due to death, how does she observe it? We say that if she is pregnant, she observes it until she gives birth. If she is not pregnant, she observes it for four months and ten days. Now, if she is pregnant and gives birth a day and a night after her husband’s death, does the waiting period end? The waiting period ends. And the mourning period? It also ends, because the mourning period follows the waiting period.
