If a woman is divorced with a permissible divorce, does she leave her husband's house, or does she remain in her husband's house and not leave it until she completes her waiting period?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : If a woman is divorced with a permissible divorce, does she leave her husband's house, or does she remain in her husband's house and not leave it until she completes her waiting period?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a woman is divorced with a permissible divorce and she is one whom he is permitted to take back—meaning it is not the third of three divorces and not a divorce for compensation—then she remains in the house. It is not permissible for her to leave, and it is not permissible for her husband to expel her, based on the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah, your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality يا أيها النبي إذا طلقتم النساء فطلقوهن لعدتهن وأحصوا العدة واتقوا الله ربكم لا تخرجوهن من بيوتهن ولا يخرجن إلا أن يأتين بفاحشة مبينة
[At-Talaq 65:1]
Fear Allah. Do not expel them from their houses, and let them not leave. Therefore, it is not permissible for the husband to expel her, and it is not permissible for her to leave; she remains in her husband's house. If someone asks, "Well, she remains in the husband's house, does he have seclusion with her?" The answer is yes. Does she adorn herself for him? Yes. Does she uncover her face for him? Yes. Does she converse with him? Yes. Because her ruling is the ruling of a wife, as Allah the Exalted said:
and their husbands وبعولتهن
meaning their husbands
have the right to take them back in that state أحق بردهنّ في ذلك

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : She remains in the husband's house until the waiting period ends, but her remaining in the husband's house is not like the remaining of a woman observing the waiting period due to death, because a woman observing the waiting period due to death does not leave the house except for need or necessity. As for this woman, she leaves the house to visit her relatives and to buy her needs, but her residence is in the husband's house until the waiting period ends.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
