The ruling on the worldly and hereafter consequences of abandoning prayer.

The Shaykh : And if that is the case, then worldly and hereafter matters follow from it. As for the worldly matters, we say: If one is abandoning prayer, it is not valid to contract a marriage for him with a Muslim woman. Why? Because he is a disbeliever, and a Muslim woman is not lawful for a disbeliever. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said: [Al-Mumtahanah 60:10]
Second: If one of his relatives dies, he does not inherit from him. That is, if a man who abandons prayer has a father who does not pray, and then the son dies, his father does not inherit from him. Why? Because he is a disbeliever, and a disbeliever does not inherit anything from a Muslim. This is based on the hadith of Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 2909Sahih (Al-Albani) As for the rulings of the hereafter, if one who abandons prayer dies, it is not permissible for us to wash him, shroud him, pray over him, or bury him in the graves of Muslims. Rather, we take him out to the open land, dig a hole for him, and throw him in it without washing, shrouding, or prayer. This is because he is a disbeliever, and it is not possible to supplicate for forgiveness and mercy for a disbeliever, as Allah the Exalted said: [At-Tawbah 9:113] And among the rulings of the hereafter is that if he is gathered on the Day of Resurrection, he will be gathered with Pharaoh, Haman, Qarun, and Abu Jahl, the leaders of disbelief, may Allah protect us from that. This is the ruling of prayer in Islam: that it is one of its pillars. And this is the ruling of the one who abandons it, according to the stronger opinion among the opinions of the scholars.
And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them
