What is the ruling on going to jihad without the permission of one's parents?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on going to jihad without the permission of one's parents, given that we hear of the suffering the Muslims are enduring there?

The Shaykh : Going to jihad without the consent of one's parents is not permissible, except when jihad becomes obligatory. If it becomes obligatory, then the consent of the parents is not required, because there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator.
The scholars said: "Jihad becomes obligatory in four cases:"
- Memorize it, my son -.
"The first case: When one is present in the battle line, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight]. يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا لقيتم الذين كفروا زحفا فلا تولوهم الأدبار
[Al-Anfal 8:15]
.
The second case: When the imam calls for mobilization, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little. يا أيها الذين آمنوا مالكم إذا قيل لكم انفروا في سبيل الله اثاقلتم إلى الأرض أرضيتم بالحياة الدنيا من الآخرة فما متاع الحياة الدنيا في الآخرة إلا قليل
[At-Tawbah 9:38]
. And based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
And when you are called to mobilization, then go forth وإذا استنفرتم فانفروا
.
The third case: When there is a need for him - meaning, if this man knows how to operate a specific weapon and others do not know how, then he must go out -.
The fourth: When the enemy besieges his land, then defense is obligatory."

In all other cases, it is either a collective obligation or voluntary, and the default is that it is a collective obligation.
In any case, we say that if the parents refuse to give permission to their son, he must refrain from jihad, especially if they are in need of him, unless it is an individual obligation for him, in which case he does not obey them. Yes.
What time is it now?
The student: Twelve and five.

The Shaykh : That is sufficient, it is sufficient, first of all ..
