Do the jinn die?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Do the Shayatins and the jinn die? And if they do die, how do we understand the saying of Allah the Exalted:
So grant me respite until the Day they are resurrected فأنظرني إلى يوم يبعثون
?

The Shaykh : The jinn and humans die, as stated in the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). As for the saying of Iblis:
then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." (37) [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved (38) Until the Day of the time well-known." فَأَنْظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
[Al-Hijr 15:36-38]
, did Allah the Exalted grant him his request? Or did He say, "Until the Day of the Known Time" with Allah Mighty and Majestic? The answer is the second: Iblis has been granted a respite until the known time that Allah Mighty and Majestic knows.
In any case, the jinn and humans die without a doubt. As for those created to remain, such as the houris and young boys in Paradise, they do not die because Allah the Exalted created them originally to remain.
