Paradise and Hellfire are close to the human being

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q242: What is the meaning of the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
Paradise is nearer to any of you than the Shirak (leather strap) of his shoe, and so is the (Hell) Fire.الجنة أقرب إلى أحدكم من شراك نعله والنار مثل ذلك
Sahih al-Bukhari 6488
?

A242: The hadith is clear that Paradise and Hellfire are close to the human being, and that there is nothing between him and them except that he dies. Death has a set time, and neither death nor passing away is known except by Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). So death is near, but this hadith is a reminder of death, an encouragement to do good deeds, to repent, to prepare for death, and to prepare for Paradise and safety from Hellfire.
