A pilgrim performing 'Umrah several years ago left off the sa'y in order to catch up with his companions and returned to his country; what is the ruling?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, Shaykh. A pilgrim performing 'Umrah several years ago left off the sa'y to leave with his companions, believing that if he invalidated this act, the entire 'Umrah would be invalidated. He later performed Hajj and 'Umrah. What is required of him? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : First, I say that delaying this questioner's inquiry until more than seven years later is a serious error. It is obligatory for a person to ask about his religion first before he acts. Then, if he acts and doubts himself regarding some of the actions he performed, he should ask about them immediately and proactively. However, since the matter has now occurred, what I see is that it is obligatory for him to go to Makkah now and perform an 'Umrah. He should perform the tawaf, the sa'y, and the shortening of the hair. Then he should perform the previous sa'y, because it is still a debt upon him. The Hajj pilgrimages he performed after that are separate pilgrimages; he did not intend them to make up for what came before. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
