What is the ruling on one who leaves off the sa'y of Hajj if he is performing tamattu'?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: I performed Hajj as a mutamatti', and I did the tawaf and sa'y for the 'Umrah and exited the state of ihram. On the day of 'Id, I did the tawaf of ifadah, but I did not do the sa'y for Hajj out of ignorance. So, is there anything required of me?

The Shaykh : Yes. It is obligatory for the person performing tamattu' to do two tawafs and two sa'ys: a tawaf and sa'y for the 'Umrah, and a tawaf and sa'y for Hajj, as that came in *Sahih al-Bukhari* from the hadith of 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas and 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with them). Based on that, we say to this brother who asked, who did not do the sa'y for Hajj: It is obligatory for you now to go to Makkah as a pilgrim for 'Umrah, meaning you enter the state of ihram from the miqat and say: Labbaik 'Umrah. When you arrive in Makkah, you do the tawaf and sa'y and shorten your hair. Then you do the sa'y for Hajj. If the questioner has a wife, it is not permissible for him to have relations with her until he completes these actions we mentioned, meaning until he returns to Makkah in the state of ihram for 'Umrah and exits from it, and then he performs the sa'y for Hajj, because he did not complete the second exit from the state of ihram. Yes.
