Is the prohibition against breathing into a vessel a matter of contagion?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : No, the reality of contagion is established and there is no doubt about it. However, for a person to be excessively cautious about it in every situation, to burden himself, and to make things difficult for himself, that is the error. For example, when someone shakes a person's hand, that person goes and washes it with water and earth, or with water alone, out of fear that there might be a germ in that hand that would harm him. This is an error. In other words, for a person to be so cautious as to impose hardship on himself and to subject himself to obsessive doubts, that is an error. And for him to not care about dirt at all is also an error. The best approach is for a person to take the middle path.
