Explanation of the Book of Prayer and Its Times-02a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abdullah ibn Yusuf narrated to us, saying: Al-Layth narrated to us from Yazid ibn Abi Habib from Abi al-Khayr from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, who said:
God’s Messenger was presented with a silk gown which he put on and wore while praying. Then when he withdrew he pulled it off vigorously as though he disapproved of it, saying, “This is not fitting for the pious.” أهدي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فروج حرير فلبسه فصلى فيه ثم انصرف فنزعه نزعًا شديدًا كالكاره له وقال: لا ينبغي هذا للمتقين

The Shaykh : This indicates that prayer in a forbidden garment does not become invalid, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did not repeat the prayer, nor did he attempt to remove it while in the middle of the prayer. This is what we see and lean toward.
It contains evidence that a pious believer cannot wear silk, because whoever wears it in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter. Yes.
