The Meaning of the Poet's Statement: (The Meaning of the Word 'Ala) and 'Ala is for exaltation, so it is a reality *** in this regard among the masters of this field

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said:
"And 'Ala is for exaltation, so it is a reality *** in this regard among the masters of this field"
The original rule is that it is for exaltation, as Ibn Malik said in *Al-Alfiyyah*: "'Ala is for exaltation". So it is always for exaltation. If it is said "He istawa (was established) on such and such," it means he was exalted above it. If it is said "He looked at such and such," it means he was exalted above it by his looking. If it is said "He rode on such and such," it means he was exalted above it. So it indicates height. This is the original rule for it. He says:
"Among the masters of this field". And the first one is the Jahmi, and what does he say? It is with 'Amr, it is with Sibawayhi. It is as if Ibn al-Qayyim is saying: If you quote from a scholar among the scholars of grammar, then I quote from all the scholars of grammar. And for this reason he said:
: "Among the masters of this field", meaning by consensus.
